While Chacos seem pricey, they are well worth the price. The straps are adjustable to your comfort. I have wide "Fred Flinstone" feet, and these fit great. They are super easy to adjust. I loosen them when I'm wearing them around town and I tighten them for less "flip-flop" when I'm hiking. They also have excellent support. I have high arches and I can wear these for hours. After extended wear, these shoes will start to form to your foot making them even more comfortable. If you're looking for a shoe to wear while hiking or being out in the woods for a long time, I'd recommend the Z/1 or Z/2 Chaco. The hipthongs still have that flip-flop quality that makes them ideal for normal wear and casual camping, but less than best for hiking.

Chacos Rock - C. Booher - Okla City, OK USA
This is the kind of "flip flop" that I am happy to wear out in public. They are comfy and fit well (the 10s are a little big, but I know that the 9s are too small...too bad Chaco doesn't make half sizes). They also provide real support and look pretty cute, too.

Take a little getting used to, but very comfy - Frugalshopper - NH
I read all the other reviews on the different Chacos and I'm glad I decided on these (I'm trying to get away from the cheap flip flops). They are super comfy and I've worn them all day and forget I have them on. They definitely take getting used to; the soles seemed a little heavy to me at first and it did take a few tries to get the straps adjusted to my feet, but now I love them!
